2. Changes to the Terms and Conditions of Use
2.1 The Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture reserves the right to change, add to, update or delete these Terms and Conditions of Use, in whole or in part, at any time, without notice and with immediate effect.
2.2 You should read these Terms and Conditions of Use from time to time to see if any changes or updates have been made. If you do not agree with any of the rules governing its use, you should not use the website.
3. Accessing the Website
3.1. You do not have to be registered to access the website. However, if you wish to purchase anything you will have to register an account with an email and password.
3.2. The Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture has the exclusive right to wholly or partially suspend access to the website at any time, especially (but not only) during management operations and when maintenance, repairs, changes or modernisation are being carried out.
3.3 The Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture may also decide to temporarily or permanently shut down all or part of the website or any of the services at any time and without notice.
4. Use of the Website
4.1. You must adhere to the following rules when using the website:
4.1.1. Do not use the website to send or make available any content that is illegal, false, misleading, threatening, malicious, abusive, defamatory, injurious, invasive of privacy, racially, ethically or morally objectionable, harmful or offensive to the dignity of people or harmful to minors, or which may cast a negative light on the image of the Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture.
4.1.2. Do not use the website to send or make available information or content belonging to third parties and that you do not have the right to use, such as content protected by third party copyright or content that contains personal data belonging to third parties;
4.1.3. Do not use the website to make available or transmit any type of material that contains or may contain viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses or other items or computer codes, files or programmes that could potentially interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any equipment or computer system (hardware or software) or communications equipment;
4.1.4. Do not use or exploit the website, including its contents, materials, functionalities or resources, for commercial purposes or in exchange for payment of any kind. Any content made available may be accessed for personal use only.
4.1.5. Do not remove any copyright notices, trademarks or proprietary rights notices;
4.1.6. Do not make available or transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised content such as spam;
4.1.7. Do not collect, store, make available, transmit, exploit or reproduce information about other users (including usernames and/or email addresses) for unauthorised purposes.
4.2. In general, you must use the website in a responsible, prudent and careful manner, and must not disrupt or damage the continuity, integrity and quality of its resources and functionalities. You acknowledge that you are using the website at your own risk and that you are solely responsible for any damage caused to your system and/or computer equipment or for other damages or losses, including loss of or damage to data, that may result from the use of materials, content or information obtained through the website, in any way.
4.3. You further acknowledge that the Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture will make every effort to guarantee the security of information (e.g. identification, contact and bank details) that you may provide when making payments associated with the Ticket Office and Online Store, but that it is not responsible for the processing of such information by third parties (including entities providing payment services and financial transactions) and that it is not possible to eliminate the inherent risks to your data when browsing on an open network.
5. Ticket Office
5.1. The Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture offers online ticket sales for the monuments under its auspices. You can access the online ticket office through http://www.cultalg.pt, or directly through cultalg.gov.pt.
5.2. You must be a registered user to buy tickets online. To this end, you must have a valid email address and you must choose a password during the check-out process in order to complete your purchase. You can then use the password for any future purchases you may make on the website.
5.3. It up to you to use the Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture’s online ticket office in a responsible and appropriate manner, i.e. you should provide only your own payment details, making sure they are complete and correct. You must not provide anyone else’s payment details unless they have specifically authorised you to do so.
5.4. To purchase and collect tickets from the online ticket office, please follow the instructions below:
5.4.1. Choose the data applicable to your purchase (the name of the monument you want to visit and the number of tickets required);
5.4.2. Provide the identification and contact details requested, as well as any data needed for invoicing. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required and you will not be able to complete the transaction without filling them in;
5.4.3. After completing steps 5.4.1 and 5.4.2, and depending on your chosen payment method, you may be redirected to an external electronic payment system. In this case, you must follow the instructions given there and provide all of the data requested;
5.4.4. Your purchase will only be considered complete and confirmed after you receive a confirmation email from loja@cultalg.gov.pt. This email will include information relevant to your purchase, i.e. the order number, the invoice and the tickets in PDF format (sent as an attachment to the email).
5.5. If you have any questions about terms of operation of the online ticket office or if you have any suggestions or wish to make a complaint, please send an email to loja@cultalg.gov.pt, or to loja@cultalg.gov.pt.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
6.1. You acknowledge that the website, its structure and layout, the selection, organisation and presentation of its content, including its functionalities and the software used in it, as well as the brands, logos and symbols presented on the website, are the property of the Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture or have been properly licensed to it.
6.2. You further acknowledge that the content of this website (texts, images, graphics, brands, sound and animation and all other information and elements featured on the website) are protected by intellectual property rights; their use is limited to the terms permitted by law and their origin must be properly credited.
6.3. You may not transmit, communicate to the public, publish, make available to the public, modify, transform, copy, sell, use or distribute the texts, images or other information contained in this website or part of the website in any way without prior written authorisation from the Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture.
6.4. You may access and use the content and materials made available through this website for non-commercial purposes, as long as you clearly identify the respective source (and provide a link to it). You must clearly identify any changes to the material and you may not state or in any way infer that the use of the materials was authorised and/or supported at source. The distribution of derivatives is prohibited. You may not impose restrictions on third parties as to the use that they may make of the materials they access, other than the restrictions imposed on you by these terms of use.
7. Liability and guarantees
7.1. This website was developed taking into account the interests of the different types of users and target public of the Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture’s initiatives. However, we cannot guarantee that the website or any functionality available on it will meet any needs and expectations you may have or that it will serve your specific purposes.
7.2. The Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture also does not guarantee that:
7.2.1. The results obtained through the use of the website will be correct, true, suitable or reliable;
7.2.2. Any information or suggestion, of any kind, under the responsibility of the Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture, presented or made available on the website, or obtained through its use, will be current, accurate, complete or free of errors. The Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture assumes no legal duty in this respect;
7.2.3. Any material or other type of content made available by third parties through the website will be safe, legal or adequate;
7.2.4. The qualities, functionalities or characteristics of the products, services, information or other materials or content published on the website will meet any expectations you may have.
7.3. The Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture declines liability for errors that may occur due to irregularities in the system or to temporary or permanent failures in the website, applications or other tools. The Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture declines liability for any damages arising from improper use of the website, or the inability to use it.

7.5. The Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture will not refund the cost of tickets you purchase and you may not change the date of your visit.

Under no circumstances does the presence of a link imply the existence of a relationship between the Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture and the owner or manager of the website to which that link leads.

Consequently, the Algarve Regional Directorate for Culture declines liability for the legality, reliability or quality of any content provided there, as well as for compliance with the legal rules applicable to the content provided there.
